Artists Converge at Casa Carly for Morning Sketching
There’s something about the gardens at Casa Carly that invites you to slow down, look a little closer, and stay a while.
Recently a lovely group of artists joined us for breakfast and a morning of sketching among the flowers. With coffee cups and breakfast plates giving way to sketchbooks, pencils, canvas and paint, the garden became an open-air studio filled with color, creativity, and conversation.
Bougainvillea, leafy corners, potted plants, fountains, and all the little details tucked throughout the garden offered plenty of inspiration. Each artist seemed to find a different view to caption, another reminder that the same garden can be seen in so many beautiful ways.
It was a pleasure to watch the morning unfold: friends chatting over breakfast, artists settling into quiet corners, and pages slowing filling with their own interpretations of Casa Carly. We love seeing our garden enjoyed this way. Casa Carly has always been a place for gathering, lingering, creating and enjoying the simple pleasures of San Miguel de Allende.
Thank you to the artists who spent their morning with us and brought a little extra creativity to the garden. We hope you’ll come back and sketch with us again soon!
